Abstract

Sue Coe will present some recent artworks concerned with the trend toward total automation in the meat industry and the apparent complicity of mainstream animal welfare organizations.

Bio

Sue Coe’s artwork has appeared in numerous museum collections and exhibitions, exploring issues from factory farming to unjust labor practices to the prison-industrial complex to AIDS. Her work has appeared in The Progressive, Mother Jones, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, Newsweek, The Nation, and other publications, as well in as the film Earthlings.
