ANNUAL AWARDS
• Critical Animal Studies Book of the Year –
This is an international award for outstanding book in the field of
critical animal studies. The book should not be older than two years
of the given year the nomination is announced. We stress that critical
animal studies includes the advocacy and liberation of animals. To nominate
the book please send a copy or description with a cover letter to us.
• Critical Animal Studies Alternative Media of the Year
- This is an international award for outstanding alternative media in
the field of critical animal studies. The media should not be older
than two years. We stress that critical animal studies includes the
advocacy and liberation of animals. To nominate the media please send
a copy or description with a cover letter to us.

Critical Animal Studies Undergraduate Paper/Project/thesis of
the Year – This is an international award given to an
undergraduate student who has written an outstanding paper/thesis that
promotes critical animal studies or who has established and organized
a project that promotes critical animal studies. To nominate an undergraduate
student for this award, the nominator must write a one page letter including
the paper or a 500 word detailed description of the project.

Critical Animal Studies Graduate Paper/Project/Dissertation
of the Year – This is an international award given to
any graduate student working on a masters or doctorate degree who has
written an outstanding paper/thesis that promotes critical animal studies
or who has established and organized a project that promotes critical
animal studies. To nominate a graduate student for this award, the nominator
must write a one page letter including the paper or a 500 word detailed
description of the project.

Critical Animal Studies Faculty Paper/Project of the Year
– This is an international award given to a faculty conducting
research at a college, university or institute working who has written
an outstanding paper that promotes critical animal studies or who has
established and organized a project that promotes critical animal studies.
To nominate a professor for this award, the nominator must write a one
page letter including the paper or a 500 word detailed description of
the project.
