Daniel Shaull died January 27, 2010 in Portland, Oregon after setting himself on fire at a fur store screaming; “There are animals dying! Animals dying!” “He tried to run into the building,” said witness Mike Cheema who owns a food cart a few feet from where the incident occurred. “The door was locked. He couldn’t get in. He came right out screaming, ‘the world is ending, animals dying!’”
Jill Phipps Global Day of Remembrance
Jill Phipps was a 31 year old British activist and mother, who was crushed to death under the wheels of a veal transporter during a protest against against live exports in Coventry. The driver of the transporter was never charged.

Mike Hill, Hunt Saboteur, was killed on the 9th of February 1991 at a meet of the Cheshire Beagles, he was deliberately run over, the driver was never charged despite handing himself in. Mike was 18.

Elvio Fichera, a volunteer for the Association of Abandoned Animals was murdered May 12, 2010 whilst trying, with police, to serve a warrant on Renzo Castagnola for cruelty to animals. Renzo Castagnola shot Elvio dead.

Paola Quartini, animal activist for LIPU (Italian League for Bird Protection – UK) from Genoa, Italy was murdered May 12, 2010 whilst trying, with police, to serve a warrant on Renzo Castagnola for cruelty to animals. Renzo Castagnola shot him dead.
